Frankel Jewish Academy (FJA), located in West Bloomfield, Michigan, is seeking passionate Jewish Studies Teachers for the upcoming school year. This is a unique opportunity to teach a diverse, college-bound student body in a high school dedicated to Jewish textual study and college readiness.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a talented educator who:
- Brings a vibrant, enthusiastic presence that sparks curiosity in teenagers 🚀
- Has a strong commitment to Jewish practice and deep academic training in Jewish Studies
- Possesses proficiency in Hebrew (textual and/or modern)
- Holds a passion for Jewish and secular knowledge with a desire to improve pedagogical skills
- Is familiar with current educational best practices and technology integration
- Enthusiastically mentors high school students in a pluralistic, text-based environment
Essential Duties & Curriculum Areas
Faculty will teach core courses and develop electives, including:
- Bible (Tanakh)
- Rabbinics (Talmud/Halakha)
- Jewish History
- Electives such as Jewish Ethics, Philosophy, or specialization topics
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Jewish Studies, History, or related field
- Previous high school teaching experience
- Strong commitment to FJA’s mission and Jewish values
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Rabbinic Ordination) preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $40,000 - $75,000, based on experience
- 7 PTO days plus school holidays and vacations
