Position Summary
Kelly Services has partnered with a prominent manufacturing firm to recruit a Japanese/English Interpreter. This role involves providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the President and Advisors, facilitating effective communication between Japanese and English speakers through interpreting conversations and translating documents.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare Japanese versions of minutes from operational and business conferences conducted in English
- Coordinate activities between the President, managers, and supervisory personnel
- Translate legal, financial, and manufacturing documents and correspondence between English and Japanese
- Make travel arrangements for Advisors and staff
- Interpret conversations and meetings, translating documents related to legal, financial, manufacturing, medical, administrative, educational, and domestic matters
- Provide language assistance for business and domestic issues, including letters and memos from schools, banks, licensing offices, etc.
- Arrange housing, utilities, automobile, and insurance for new Advisors
- Assist with school registration and meetings with teachers during working hours
- Accompany Advisors to medical appointments and interpret conversations
- Prepare HR and legal documents (e.g., SS and IRS ITIN applications) and accompany Advisors to appointments for personal appearances
- Perform additional or related duties as assigned
Education, Experience, & Training (Minimum Requirements)
- At least 3 years of bilingual executive secretarial experience in the manufacturing industry
- A four-year college degree is highly preferred
- Excellent translation skills—both oral and written—with a clear understanding of the subject matter beyond language proficiency
- Ability to produce high-quality work promptly, including oral summaries, written summaries, word-for-word translations, and verbatim oral translations
