Gray Construction Is Hiring A Japanese Speaking Project Engineer

Gray Construction is seeking a skilled Japanese Speaking Project Engineer - Food and Beverage to join their team either in Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA. 🌎

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and monitor job progress using the QMS program, including scheduling, estimating, and budgeting to ensure project timelines are met.
• Perform quantity take-offs, prepare cost estimates, and manage bid solicitations.
• Provide research options and regulation information as required.
• Purchase and coordinate material deliveries for projects, ensuring optimum prices, quality, and adherence to specifications and budget.
• Review and approve invoices and change orders.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure all scope is covered.
• Review vendor and subcontractor shop drawings as directed by supervisor.
• Relocate to specific job sites (if required) to become familiar with procurement and construction practices.
• Attend weekly job site meetings.
• Assist in preparing various reports such as monthly red files, progress schedules, billings, and status updates.
• Organize and maintain job files to ensure continuity of workflow.
• Submit verbal and written reports on project status to supervisors.
• Communicate effectively with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Enforce and implement Gray Construction's safety program on-site.
• Perform other duties as assigned. 🎯

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Minimum of three years related experience.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications.
• Working knowledge of scheduling applications may be required.
