About the Role

As a key member of our Customer Support team, you will assist Japanese-speaking users and contribute to enhancing the overall customer experience. Your expertise in customer support, combined with excellent communication skills, will ensure our users gain maximum value from Ahrefs and resolve complex SEO and product inquiries with clarity.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries via live chat and email in both Japanese and English, delivering clear and helpful solutions.
  • Explain Ahrefs features and SEO concepts effectively to users with various levels of technical knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot user-reported issues, identify bugs or data discrepancies, and escalate appropriately to product or engineering teams, translating technical details.
  • Maintain and update our Help Center documentation, including localized content for Japanese users.
  • Share customer insights from Japanese and global users with product, marketing, and engineering teams to guide improvements and localization efforts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and participate in internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Must have:

  • Native-level fluency in spoken and written Japanese and English ✨🎯
  • Proven experience using Ahrefs or similar advanced SEO tools such as Moz or Semrush.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, distinguish user errors from system bugs, and document/escalate problems accurately.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to diverse audiences in both Japanese and English.
