🤝 Overview

This is an exciting position leading projects within a newly established strategic consulting team in the U.S. As a Japanese Bilingual Strategy Consulting Manager, you will handle data-driven strategic projects related to cross-border transactions between Japan and North America, working closely with executive-level clients.

Responsibilities & Job Description

The Strategy Unit oversees various client engagements related to strategy consulting, including:

• Market research, market entry, and business development strategies
• Business due diligence, joint ventures, and partnership support
• Turnaround, restructuring, and corporate governance consulting

As a manager, your key responsibilities include leading project execution and guiding a team of consultants. Specific tasks involve:

• Conducting industry-specific market, competitive, and regulatory research (primary and secondary)
• Managing client delivery projects, including proposal development
• Mentoring junior team members and fostering team cohesion
• Presenting compelling business cases and strategic recommendations to clients
• Creating deliverables primarily in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Collaborating with team members across Japan, Singapore, and other APAC regions
• Handling additional project-related tasks as needed

✨ Requirements

• 7-10 years of relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate planning (5+ years for Strategy Consulting firms)
• Business-level Japanese proficiency (N1 level required)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems across industries
• Preference given to candidates with academic backgrounds in accounting, finance, or marketing
• Professional mindset with a strong sense of ownership
• Eager to learn and expand skills beyond comfort zones
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
• Valid authorization to work in the United States
