🎯 Overview

In this role, you will lead the newly established US-based strategy consulting team as a Japanese Bilingual Strategy Consulting Manager. Your focus will be on data-driven strategic projects involving cross-border transactions between Japan and North America, working closely with executive-level clients.

📝 Responsibilities & Job Description

The Strategy Unit handles various client engagements, including:

• Market research, market entry strategies, and business development
• Business due diligence, joint ventures, and partnership support
• Turnaround, restructuring, and corporate governance consulting

As a manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading project execution and managing a team of consultants
• Conducting primary and secondary research in industry-related areas
• Managing client deliverables, including project proposals and reports
• Developing and mentoring junior team members
• Presenting compelling business cases and strategic recommendations
• Preparing deliverables primarily using Microsoft PowerPoint
• Collaborating with teams across Japan, Singapore, and APAC regions
• Handling additional tasks related to project success and client satisfaction

🔍 Requirements

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate planning (5+ years for Strategy Consulting firms)
• Business-level Japanese proficiency (N1 level)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a problem-solving mindset
• Academic background in business fields (accounting, finance, marketing) is a plus
• Ownership mentality and a proactive attitude toward learning
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
• Valid work authorization in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship provided)

💰 Compensation & Additional Details

• Annual Salary: $120,000 – $150,000
• Location: El Segundo, CA 90245 (Hybrid Remote)
• Travel: Willing to travel up to 50%
