At Wizards of the Coast, we connect players worldwide through games like Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons. We are seeking a passionate EN/JP Bilingual Production Editor to collaborate across teams to ensure the quality and consistency of ourMagic products, with a focus on Japanese-language partnership projects. This remote-friendly role within the United States offers a vibrant opportunity to work at the intersection of language, culture, and gaming.

What You’ll Do 📝

• Perform detailed copy editing and proofreading on English and Japanese Magic cards, packaging, and related assets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style and terminology standards.
• Maintain accurate records in our Magic card set database and supporting documentation.
• Translate presentations, feedback, and materials between English and Japanese for Universes Beyond cards and packaging projects.

What You’ll Bring 🎯

• At least 2+ years of professional experience as a copy editor or proofreader, with proven expertise in both English and Japanese languages, including meticulous attention to detail.
• Over 2 years of experience playing Magic, with familiarity across various sets and editions.
• Proficiency in English & Japanese (reading, writing, speaking, understanding) at a professional level (N3 or higher), and a genuine love for Japanese culture and intellectual properties.
• Adaptable mindset with an eagerness to learn and collaborate effectively with teams.
• Experience with tools like Smartsheet, InDesign, InCopy, or databases is a plus.

Additional Details ℹ️

This is a temporary contract position, employing you through an external staffing agency (Workwell) as a W2 employee. You will work remotely within the U.S., with an assignment duration of up to 12 months.

Compensation 💰

In accordance with local laws, the hourly pay range for this role is:

• Starting Pay: $40/hour
• Maximum Pay: $50/hour
