🌟 About the Role

We are seeking a passionate EN/JP Bilingual Production Editor (Contract) who loves English and Japanese, has a keen eye for detail, and a deep knowledge of Magic. 💡🎮

📝 What You'll Do

• Perform extensive copy editing and proofreading on English and Japanese Magic cards, packaging, and related assets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to Magic style and terminology.
• Build and maintain precise records in our Magic card set database and supporting documentation.
• Translate presentations, feedback, and other materials between English and Japanese for Universes Beyond cards and packaging.

🎯 What You Bring

• Over 2 years of paid experience as a copy editor or proofreader, with demonstrated expertise in both English and Japanese content, including detail-oriented linguistic and visual editing.
• At least 2 years of experience playing Magic, familiar with both old and current card sets.
• Professional proficiency in English (speaking and writing), and at least N3 level Japanese skills (reading, writing, speaking, understanding). A passion for Japanese culture and intellectual properties.
• An adaptable, curious mindset eager to learn and grow.
• A collaborative spirit combined with confidence and trust in teamwork.
• Experience with tools such as Smartsheet, Databases, InDesign, or InCopy is a plus.

🌍 Additional Details

This is a temporary contract position providing services through an external staffing agency. If selected, employment will be through Workwell as a W2 employee, not directly with Wizards.

• Duration: Up to 12 months

💰 Compensation

Hourly pay ranges from $40 to $50 USD depending on experience and qualifications.
