Work Hours:

Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 1-hour lunch

Essential Job Functions 📝

• Input, update, and maintain sales orders, invoices, and bill-back data within the company database
• Maintain accurate customer records in the database
• Enter credit card and ACH transaction information promptly to ensure timely payment collection
• Provide excellent customer service, building rapport and satisfaction
• Answer customer questions regarding product features, benefits, and procedures
• Update and prepare sales materials for the department
• Report inventory or service issues immediately to the appropriate account manager
• Collaborate with sales staff to monitor active purchase orders and ensure timely completion
• Scribe meeting notes and distribute minutes to the team
• Create sales and marketing materials
• Attend company events outside regular working hours
• Assist as Will Call relief, collecting payments, issuing receipts, and handling customer inquiries
• Perform other duties as assigned and respond to management requests as needed

Physical Requirements 💪

• Ability to sit for extended periods in an office environment
• Proficient in typing for prolonged periods
• Capability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
• Work in an indoor environment with normal to loud noise levels

Other Requirements:

• Business-level proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
• Business-level Japanese; native Japanese preferred (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Adaptability to changing assignments and workload
• Completion of Sake Adviser course within 1-2 years of employment
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills 🧠

• Clerical and administrative support skills
• Basic mathematical knowledge (markups, discounts, measurements, inventory)
• Problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes strongly preferred
