Position Summary

As an Inside Sales Coordinator, you will oversee air and ocean import/export shipments within our International Division, based in the Import or Export department of our large or "super" branches. Your role will focus on delivering exceptional customer service, accurate processing, timely deliveries, and efficient issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Sales Support

  • Prepare and present proposals and quotes tailored to customer needs
  • Obtain competitive rates from vendors and provide accurate shipment pricing
  • Collaborate with management to deliver quotes to clients
  • Maintain and update operational SOPs and conduct internal audits for assigned accounts

🔹 Customer Account Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for designated accounts
  • Deliver outstanding customer service with a deep understanding of import/export processes
  • Proactively manage relationships, providing shipment updates and delay notifications
  • Prepare regular reports—daily, weekly, and monthly—for assigned accounts
  • Ensure all operations adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

🔹 Shipment Coordination

  • Coordinate shipments for timeliness, cost-efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Verify current pricing before shipment bookings
  • Communicate with overseas offices, agents, customers, and vendors to ensure seamless shipment execution

🔹 Problem Resolution

  • Address customer concerns and troubleshoot errors promptly
  • Review exception reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently
  • Provide backup support to other departments as needed and perform additional duties

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 3–5 years of experience in air and ocean import/export operations (considering equivalents)
  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and transportation providers
  • Proven track record in customer service for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, juggle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and escalate issues when necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (emails, reports, correspondence)
  • Professional, cooperative, and team-oriented attitude when interacting with colleagues, vendors, and officials
  • Proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Salary & Benefits 💰

Annual Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00
