About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and experienced tutor to provide long-term, one-on-one virtual instruction to a student learning Italian as a second language. Preference is given to candidates with experience working with neurodiverse learners, including those on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) or with other special education needs.

This position is fully remote with flexible scheduling options. The tutor must be available to work according to the student's schedule in Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (preferred in Education, Linguistics, Italian Studies, or related fields)
• TESOL, TEFL, or other relevant language teaching certifications are strongly preferred
• Experience teaching or tutoring Italian, especially in virtual settings
• Experience working with students with special needs or in special education settings is highly valued
• Professional tutoring setup including reliable high-speed internet, webcam, microphone/headset, and access to online teaching tools
• Excellent communication skills, patience, and adaptability
• Must be available during PST hours to align with the student’s schedule
