About the Role

We are excited to welcome a compassionate, patient, and experienced Virtual Italian Tutor to provide long-term, one-on-one instruction to students learning Italian as a second language. This is a fully remote position with flexible hours, tailored to fit your schedule and the student's needs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver personalized, engaging Italian lessons in a virtual setting.
• Work with neurodiverse students, including those on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) or with other special education needs.
• Adapt teaching methods to support diverse learning styles and needs.
• Coordinate lesson schedules based on mutual availability within Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Education, Linguistics, Italian Studies, or related fields).
• TESOL, TEFL, or other relevant language teaching certification strongly preferred.
• Experience teaching or tutoring Italian, especially in a virtual environment.
• Experience working with students with special needs or in special education settings is highly valued.
• Professional tutoring setup, including reliable high-speed internet, webcam, microphone/headset, and access to online teaching tools.
• Excellent communication skills, patience, and adaptability.
• Availability during PST hours to align with the student's schedule.

Additional Information

• This is a long-term tutoring opportunity with consistent weekly hours.
• Starting rate: $25/hour, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications.
