About the Role

Tutor Me Education, a premier provider in primary and secondary education, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Virtual Italian Tutor. This position involves providing individualized, long-term instruction to students learning Italian as a second language, with a special focus on neurodiverse learners, including those on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) or with other special education needs.

What You'll Do

• Deliver one-on-one Italian instruction in a virtual setting 📚
• Support students’ language development in a safe, nurturing, and dynamic environment 🌱
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including neurodiverse learners 🤝
• Coordinate sessions based on the student’s schedule within Pacific Standard Time (PST) 🕒

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (preferred fields: Education, Linguistics, Italian Studies, or related disciplines) 🎓
• TESOL, TEFL, or similar certification highly preferred 📝
• Experience teaching or tutoring Italian, especially in a virtual environment 🇮🇹💻
• Experience working with students with special needs or in special education is highly valued 💖
• Reliable professional setup: high-speed internet, webcam, microphone/headset, and online teaching tools 🎥🎧💻
• Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability skills 🌟
