Position Summary
Job Description:
Assist with remote and in-person administrative support, participate in community events for the Ferrucci Institute for Italian Experience and Research. Commitment is up to 6 hours per week, varying by week.
Responsibilities include:
- Attending community events and supporting the coordination and promotion of the Ferrucci Institute and Italian Studies at Chapman University (event setup, photography, community engagement).
- Helping prepare the Ferrucci House for Fall Semester 2026.
- Assisting the Italian Studies Program Director and Ferrucci Institute Director with tasks such as:
- Creating promotional materials
- Gathering and organizing program information
- Managing social media
- Creating basic teaching materials
- Supporting elementary-level students (introducing new students to the program and Italian Club, guiding on resources)
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimal prior experience; ability to learn support processes
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Availability to attend community events on May 31 and August 15
Preferred:
- Skills in graphic design, video editing, word processing, slide creation, or accounting
- Italian language skills and cultural knowledge (a plus)
