About the Role

As a part of our team, you will:

• Conduct engaging walking tours throughout NYC 🗽
• Tell captivating stories live to guests 🎙️
• Create photos and short videos during tours to share on social media 📸🎥
• Promote additional tours or tickets when suitable 🎟️

Bonus: A passion for photography or videography is a strong plus!

What You'll Be Sharing

This role revolves around storytelling—about New York and America—covering topics like history, culture, movies, music, and iconic personalities. Share your passion both in person and on camera!

Compensation & Benefits 💰

• Hourly tour rates: $18–$75, depending on tour type, experience, and performance
• Higher-paying tours assigned based on reliability, guest feedback, and reviews
• Gratuities are a vital part of your earnings—generally consistent and generous tips
• Bonuses and performance incentives for top performers
• Additional commissions by selling extra tickets or promoting tours

Note: Candidates with sales or marketing experience can potentially double or triple their income through generous commissions on tour sales!

Collaboration Details

This is an independent contractor role—not an employer-employee position. We value long-term relationships and see our guides as part of our family rather than disposable freelancers.

• Work is on-call, flexible, and project-based
• During peak seasons, this role can provide a steady side income or even year-round stability for the right multilingual, sales-driven candidate
• Age is not a factor—ideal for teachers, retirees, or anyone seeking a meaningful, flexible role

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Fluent in Italian
• Fluent in English; additional languages a big plus
• Passionate about books, history, movies, music, and American pop culture
• Excellent storytelling and communication skills 🎙️
• Confident, extroverted, comfortable speaking to groups
• Not camera-shy 📹
• Interested in photography, video, or social media
• Reliable, professional, and serious 💼
• Sales or marketing experience is a major advantage

Note: Education and background are less important—passion and knowledge are what matter most!

Training & Support

No prior tour guiding experience is necessary. We offer full training, storytelling structure, and ongoing support.
