Position Details
The Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese at Penn State University Park invites applications for a full-time Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor position in Italian. The role is non-tenure-track, with an anticipated start date of August 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teaching introductory and intermediate Italian language courses.
- Teaching load of six courses per year or an equivalent configuration.
- Up to 50% of courses may be taught online (asynchronous).
Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in English and Italian.
- Master’s degree in Italian or a related field by the appointment date.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching Italian preferred.
