Position Details

The Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese at Penn State University Park invites applications for a full-time Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor position in Italian. The role is non-tenure-track, with an anticipated start date of August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teaching introductory and intermediate Italian language courses.
• Teaching load of six courses per year or an equivalent configuration.
• Up to 50% of courses may be taught online (asynchronous).

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in English and Italian.
• Master’s degree in Italian or a related field by the appointment date.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching Italian preferred.
