POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese at Penn State (University Park) invites applications for a full-time Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor in Italian (non-tenure-track), starting in August 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching introductory and intermediate Italian language courses
- Teaching load of six courses per year or an equivalent arrangement
- Potentially teach up to half of the courses online (asynchronous)
Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in English and Italian
- Master’s degree in Italian or a related field by the appointment date
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching Italian is preferred
