Position Details

• Location: 1542 NW 14th Ave, Portland, OR 97209
• Days & Time: Saturdays, 1:00pm - 3:00pm, every other Saturday starting Fall 2026
• Part-time Hours
• Pay: $24 - $36 per hour (sliding scale based on tasks and class size)
• Work Environment: In person

🌎 About the Role

As a Children's Italian Program Teacher, you will teach Italian language skills to children aged three to twelve. Fluency in Italian, a love for working with children, and hands-on experience with lesson planning are essential. Your role helps foster intercultural interaction and language immersion, making learning both fun and effective. Emphasizing basic Italian language and cultural concepts, you'll create a playful, engaging environment where children feel safe and inspired to learn. 😊

📝 Qualifications

• Fluent in Italian (native or near-native proficiency) 🇮🇹
• Experience working with children aged 3–6
• Strong classroom presence with the ability to engage young learners 💬
• Reliable, communicative, and team-oriented

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Early Childhood Education or related field

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing this role, employees should be able to sit, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects or tools. Moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally is required. Manual dexterity and coordination are needed for operating computers and office equipment, especially over 50% of the work period. This position involves physical activity typical of teaching roles but also offers a dynamic and engaging environment.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
