🩺 Medical Interpreter (Italian) - Brick, NJ

🔹 Overview

As an independent contractor, you will provide on-site interpretation at client facilities such as hospitals and clinics. The upcoming assignment requires an Italian interpreter for in-person services in Brick, New Jersey.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken communication accurately and completely between healthcare professionals and LEP patients
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and industry standards
• Exhibit cultural sensitivity and professionalism in all interactions
• Arrive punctually at assigned appointments
• Keep detailed records of interpreting assignments as needed

🔹 Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional medical interpreting experience
• Fluency in English and at least one other language
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations
• Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
• Certification or training in medical interpreting (e.g., CMI, CHI) preferred
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Completion of background screening and vaccinations as per client requirements

• Pay: From $35.00 per hour
