Job Title: Italian Interpreter

Location: Remote in the United States

Position Type: Video-Phone Interpreter

Pay Rate: $15 - $17 per hour (depending on location, experience, and availability)

Position Overview

As an Italian Video-Telephone Interpreter, you will facilitate real-time communication between Italian and English speakers across various industries, including:

• Healthcare
• Government & Emergency Services (911, Law Enforcement, Court)
• Insurance & Finance
• Utilities & Travel & Hospitality
• General Business

You will process calls swiftly and accurately, respecting cultural sensitivities, and maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times. While this role does not involve written translation, verbal interpretation skills are essential.

Work Environment & Responsibilities 🏡

This is a remote position. It is crucial to have a quiet, secure workspace. Your daily tasks include:

• Promptly responding to interpreting sessions
• Participating in online training
• Using various devices (laptop, desktop, mobile, tablet) to deliver interpretation services
• Accurately conveying concepts while adhering to interpretation protocols
• Maintaining professionalism, composure, and cultural sensitivity throughout sessions
• Remaining punctual and available during scheduled hours
• Following client instructions and respecting confidentiality
• Handling emotionally sensitive calls with empathy and professionalism

Qualifications ✅

• Fluent in Italian and English, with strong understanding of cultural nuances
• Excellent listening, note-taking, and retention skills
• Ability to stay neutral and objective, even in challenging situations involving sensitive or emotional content
• Relevant educational or work experience (teaching, translation, interpretation) is preferred
• Adaptability to new technologies and tools
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work
