Position Overview
Our firm seeks a dynamic professional with bilingual Japanese skills to lead and advise on US IPO engagements. The role is flexible in terms of location, allowing for full remote work or a hybrid setup with potential relocation assistance. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of financial statements in accordance with USGAAP/IFRS and contribute to the financial section of SEC reports.
- Manage external audit preparations, including drafting accounting position memos and responding to auditor requests.
- Engage directly with clients, external auditors, and legal counsel to facilitate smooth communication and compliance.
- Stay informed of industry, SEC, and accounting developments; apply this knowledge to ensure accurate SEC filings and reports.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and quality control teams to produce high-quality, precise financial statements and SEC documentation.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the US IPO Advisory practice.
- Support special projects and ad hoc requests as needed for the team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 6+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience, with exposure to SEC filings such as Form 10-K, 20-F, S-1, F-1, S-4, or F-4, and USGAAP/IFRS standards.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- CPA certification required.
- Experience with Regulation S-X and S-K, Sarbanes-Oxley 404, and PCAOB audits is a plus.
- Japanese language skills are a plus.
- Self-driven, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching abilities, capable of liaising across management levels.
- Ability to foster effective relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
