Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Needs Assessment: Understand customer needs and offer wealth and investment-related sales and services to BMO customers or prospects.
  • Financial Advisory: Advise customers on wealth and investment strategies and products aligned with their objectives.
  • Sales & Service Execution: Fulfill sales and service activities according to approved procedures, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Referrals & Opportunities: Identify opportunities and refer clients to other business groups as needed, proactively enhancing the customer experience.
  • Proactive Engagement: Make outbound calls to customers, seeking opportunities to recommend products that meet their investment needs.
  • Industry & Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about consumer trends, industry best practices, and relevant regulatory environments.
  • Customer Interaction Quality: Provide professional sales and service, responding to inquiries, issues, and requests with care and expertise.
  • Customer Needs Exploration: Probe to deeply understand clients' unique investment needs and offer suitable solutions.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Focus on meeting relevant investment product sales targets.
  • Transaction & Referral Management: Manage all transactional outcomes or refer complex cases to appropriate teams.
  • Issue Resolution: Escalate complex or unresolved customer issues to senior managers promptly.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Complete necessary documentation post-interaction to ensure accurate processing and compliance.
  • Market & Product Awareness: Maintain current knowledge of investment markets and trends, incorporating this knowledge into customer discussions professionally.
  • Marketing Integration: Incorporate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations appropriately.
  • Confidentiality & Security: Safeguard customer and Bank information at all times.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Reporting: Report suspicious activity related to money laundering and adhere to all compliance requirements, including AML, FCAC, and Privacy Act.
  • Task Management & Problem Solving: Handle complex tasks within guidelines, analyze issues, and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Risk Management: Apply the Risk Management Framework in decision-making to protect the bank and align with business strategies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Market Knowledge: Familiarity with marketplace trends, products, and BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine offerings.
  • Certifications: Completed Canadian Securities Course (CSC), CIRO Investment Representative license (preferred), and willing to complete CIRE & Derivatives Exams within designated timelines.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of Risk, Compliance, AML, and Privacy regulations.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English and Mandarin or Cantonese preferred for effective communication.
  • Organizational & Interpersonal Skills: Strong organization, collaboration, and communication skills, with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $38,500.00 – $71,000.00 💵

Pay Type: Salaried (with potential commission structure). Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications; part-time roles are pro-rated.
