About the Role
As an Investment Services Representative, you will deliver engaging, efficient, and expert service to clients over the phone and through electronic communications. Your diligence, attention to detail, and ability to resolve issues effectively are essential for success in this fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This is a full-time, shift-oriented position with potential options for remote work and/or working at our contact centre. Candidates must reside within a one-hour commute of the specified locations.
Business Hours & Flexibility
Operational hours are Sunday 6:00 pm EST to Friday 8:00 pm EST, including overnight shifts, and Saturday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST. Flexibility to work various shifts within these hours is required.
What Will You Do? 🌟
- Proactively identify customer needs through effective communication and probing techniques, guiding clients toward available products and services offered by Direct Investing.
- Maintain performance metrics across all client interactions, whether verbal or written.
- Uphold a professional image of RBC and RBC Direct Investing Inc. at all times.
- Promote RBC Direct Investing's website and mobile capabilities, encouraging self-service options for clients.
- Provide helpful, knowledgeable, responsive, and professional service, including prompt and courteous trade instruction processing via phone or electronic means, all within regulatory guidelines.
- Understand and implement industry regulations (e.g., CIRO, Provincial rules) and RBC policies in daily activities.
- Execute client instructions accurately within defined authorities and ensure clients meet trade settlement obligations.
What Do You Need to Succeed? 💼
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Proven ability to work independently with strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills, capable of multitasking effectively.
- University or College degree/diploma or at least 1 year of relevant client service experience.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal, written, transcription), with attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service and professional telephone etiquette.
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
- Completion of the following exams within specified timeframes:
- Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (within 15 weeks of start date) OR Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 or higher.
- CIRO Mandatory Conduct Training (within 15 days of licensing approval).
- Derivatives Exam (within 35 weeks of start date).
Nice-to-Have Skills & Certifications
- Experience with regulatory exams such as CIRE or CFA certification.
- Fluency in French.
