Position Details
- Type: Full-time, shift-oriented role
- Work Environment: Potential to work from home and/or at the contact centre
- Location: Candidates must reside within a one-hour commute of a Centre or Hub listed in the locations
Business hours: Sunday 6:00 pm EST – Friday 8:00 pm EST, with overnight shifts; Saturday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST. Flexibility to work various shifts during these hours is required.
What Will You Do? 🎯
- Proactively identify customer needs through effective communication and probing skills, guiding clients to available products and services
- Achieve and maintain specified performance metrics for all client interactions (verbal and written)
- Uphold a professional image of RBC and RBC Direct Investing Inc. at all times
- Promote RBC Direct Investing website and mobile functionalities, identifying self-service opportunities
- Deliver helpful, knowledgeable, accurate, and responsive services, including prompt trade execution via telephone or electronic means within regulatory guidelines
- Understand and adhere to industry rules (e.g., CIRO, Provincial) and RBC policies and procedures
- Execute client instructions accurately within defined authorities and ensure clients meet trade settlement obligations
What Do You Need to Succeed? ✅
Must-have Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- University or College degree/diploma, or a minimum of 1 year of relevant client service experience
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal, written, transcription), with attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service and professional telephone skills
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese
- Completion of required exams within specified timelines:
- Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (within 15 weeks of start date)
- OR Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 or higher
- CIRO Mandatory Conduct Training (within 15 days of licensing approval)
- Derivatives Exam (within 35 weeks of start date)
Nice-to-have Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) or CFA Level 1
- Fluency in French
