Investment Services Representative
Join our team as an Investment Services Representative and leverage your client-focused mindset to grow within the RBC Direct Investing Contact Centre! 🚀 This role offers the opportunity to deliver professional, efficient, and knowledgeable service to our clients over phone and electronic communications.

The role is full-time, shift-oriented, with potential options for remote work and/or at the contact centre.
Location & Hours
- Residency: Candidates must reside within a one-hour commute of a Centre or Hub as listed in the locations.
- Business Hours: Sunday 6:00 pm EST – Friday 8:00 pm EST (overnight hours included); Saturday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST.
- Scheduling: Flexibility to work a variety of shifts within these hours.
What Will You Do? 🤝
- Proactively identify customer needs and guide clients to suitable products and services through effective communication and probing skills.
- Maintain specified performance metrics for all client communications—verbal or written.
- Uphold a professional image of RBC and RBC Direct Investing Inc. at all times.
- Promote the capabilities of the RBC Direct Investing website and mobile app, proactively suggesting self-service opportunities for clients.
- Provide helpful, knowledgeable, accurate, and courteous services, including prompt execution of trade instructions via phone or electronic means, within regulatory guidelines.
- Understand and adhere to industry rules and regulations (e.g., CIRO, Provincial regulations), as well as RBC and RBC Direct Investing policies.
- Execute client instructions accurately within defined authorities and ensure clients can meet trade settlement obligations.
What Do You Need to Succeed? 🎯
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with proven time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; capable of multitasking.
- University or College degree/diploma, or a minimum of 1 year of relevant client service experience.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal, written, transcription), with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional phone manner.
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
- Completion of key exams within specified timeframes:
- Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (within 15 weeks of start date), OR
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 or higher (must be completed and maintained).
- CIRO Mandatory Conduct Training within 15 days of licensing approval.
- Derivatives Exam within 35 weeks of start date.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Existing standing (per regulatory requirements) of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) or CFA Level 1 and Derivatives Exam.
- Fluency in French.
