This full-time, shift-oriented position offers the potential for remote work and/or placement at our contact center. Candidates must reside within a one-hour commute of the designated Centre or Hub, as listed below.
Business Hours:
- Sunday 6:00pm EST to Friday 8:00pm EST (overnight shifts are included)
- Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm EST
Flexibility to work various shifts during these hours is required.
Key Responsibilities 🚀
- Proactively identify customer needs through effective communication and probing skills, guiding clients toward suitable products and services offered by Direct Investing
- Operate within established performance metrics for all client interactions (verbal and written)
- Maintain a professional image of RBC and RBC Direct Investing Inc. at all times
- Promote the features and capabilities of the RBC Direct Investing website and mobile platforms, encouraging self-service solutions
- Provide responsive, accurate, and professional services, including prompt trade execution via phone or electronic means, adhering to regulatory standards
- Understand and comply with industry rules & regulations (e.g., CIRO, Provincial) and RBC policies
- Accurately execute client instructions within authorized limits, ensuring timely trade settlement
What You Need to Succeed ✅
Must-have Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with strong time management, organizational, problem-solving skills, and multitasking ability
- University or College degree/diploma OR minimum 1 year of relevant business/client service experience
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent analytical and organizational abilities
- Exceptional customer service and friendly, professional telephone skills
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese
- Completion of the following exams within specified timeframes:
- Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (within 15 weeks of start date) OR Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 or higher
- CIRO Mandatory Conduct Training (within 15 days of licensing approval)
- Derivatives Exam (within 35 weeks of start date)
Nice-to-have Skills & Certifications 💡
- Prior completion and ongoing maintenance of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) or CFA Level 1
- Fluency in French
