Location & Business Hours

  • Candidates must reside within a one-hour commute of designated Centres or Hubs.
  • Business hours: Sunday 6:00 pm EST – Friday 8:00 pm EST (overnight shifts possible)
  • Saturday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST
  • Flexible to work various shifts within these hours.

Key Responsibilities 📋

  • Proactively identify customer needs using effective communication and probing skills to recommend RBC Direct Investing products and services.
  • Adhere to performance metrics for all client interactions, whether verbal or written.
  • Maintain a professional and positive image of RBC and RBC Direct Investing at all times.
  • Promote the RBC Direct Investing website and mobile features, encouraging self-service solutions.
  • Provide accurate, helpful, and professional service—including prompt trade execution via phone or electronic channels—compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Understand and apply industry regulations (e.g., CIRO, provincial guidelines) and RBC policies in all activities.
  • Execute client instructions accurately within authorized limits, ensuring clients meet their trade settlement obligations.

Qualifications for Success

Must-Have

  • Ability to work independently, managing time, organization, and multitasking effectively.
  • University/College degree or related business experience (minimum 1 year).
  • Strong English communication skills—verbal, written, and transcription—and excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
  • Completion of required exams within specified timeframes:
    • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (within 15 weeks of start)
    • OR Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 or higher (ongoing maintenance)
    • CIRO Mandatory Conduct Training (within 15 days of licensing approval)
    • Derivatives Exam (within 35 weeks of start)

Nice-to-Have

  • Existing Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) or CFA Level 1 and Derivatives Exam standing.
  • French language proficiency.
