Investment Services Representative
Join our team as an Investment Services Representative and leverage your client-centric approach to grow within the RBC Direct Investing Contact Centre. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver professional, efficient, and knowledgeable service to clients over the phone and through electronic communication, with potential flexibility for remote work.

Location & Shift Details
- Type: Full-time, shift-oriented role
- Potential work from home and/or at the contact centre
- Candidate must reside within a one-hour commute to the listed Centre or Hub locations
- Business hours:
- Sunday 6:00pm EST – Friday 8:00pm EST (overnights possible)
- Saturday 9:00am – 6:00pm EST
- Flexibility to work various shifts within these hours
Key Responsibilities
- 🔍 Proactively identify customer needs through effective communication and probing skills, guiding clients to appropriate products and services.
- 🎯 Meet and exceed specified performance metrics for all communication channels.
- 🌟 Consistently maintain a professional image of RBC and RBC Direct Investing.
- 📱 Promote the RBC Direct Investing website and mobile platform, identifying self-service opportunities for clients.
- 🤝 Provide helpful, engaging, accurate, and professional services, including prompt execution of trade instructions via phone or electronic means, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
- 📜 Understand and apply industry regulations (e.g., CIRO, provincial) and internal policies to all activities.
- ✅ Execute client instructions accurately within authority limits, ensuring trades meet settlement obligations.
What You Need to Succeed
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- 🕒 Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask
- 🎓 University or college degree/diploma, or a minimum of 1 year of relevant client service experience
- ✉️ Strong English communication skills — verbal, written, and transcription
- 🔍 Analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- 😊 Exceptional customer service and professional telephone skills
- 🈴 Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese
- 📝 Completion of required exams within specified timeframes:
- Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (within 15 weeks)
- OR Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 or higher
- CIRO Mandatory Conduct Training (within 15 days of licensing approval)
- Derivatives Exam (within 35 weeks)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- ✅ Prior completion and maintenance of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) or CFA Level 1 and Derivatives Exam
- 🈵 Fluency in French
