As an Investment Services Representative, you will provide clients with helpful, engaging, knowledgeable, and efficient service via phone or electronic communications. This is a full-time, shift-oriented position that offers flexibility, including potential remote work and/or at the contact centre. Candidates must reside within a one-hour commute of a designated RBC Centre or Hub.

Business hours are from Sunday 6:00 PM EST through Friday 8:00 PM EST, with overnight shifts included, and Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST. Flexibility to work various shifts is required. ⏰

Responsibilities

• 🔍 Proactively identify client needs through effective communication and probing to guide clients toward suitable products and services.
• 📊 Meet and exceed performance metrics for all client interactions, whether verbal or written.
• 🌟 Uphold a professional image of RBC and RBC Direct Investing at all times.
• 💻 Promote the RBC Direct Investing website and mobile capabilities, encouraging clients to utilize self-service options.
• 🤝 Provide accurate, responsive, and professional service, including prompt trade execution via telephone or electronic means, adhering to regulatory standards.
• 📜 Understand and apply industry regulations (e.g., CIRO, provincial rules), as well as RBC policies and procedures.
• ✔️ Accurately execute client instructions within authorized limits, ensuring clients meet trade settlement deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications

Must-Have

• 💼 Ability to work independently with strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, capable of multitasking.
• 🎓 University or College degree/diploma, or at least 1 year of relevant client service experience.
• 🗣️ Excellent English communication skills (verbal, written, transcription), with attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• 🤗 Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, professional telephone presence.
• 🈵 Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
• 📝 Completion of the following exams or certifications is required:
  • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (to be completed within 15 weeks of start date) or
  • Completion and maintenance of CFA Level 1 or higher.
• 🛡️ CIRO Mandatory Conduct Training within 15 days of licensing approval.
• 📈 Derivatives Exam within 35 weeks of start date.

Nice-to-Have

• ✔️ Prior certification or standing in Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) or CFA Level 1 and Derivatives Exam.
• 🗣️ Fluency in French.
