Investment Services Representative

Join our team as an Investment Services Representative and leverage your client-focused mindset to grow within RBC Direct Investing Contact Centre. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver professional, efficient, and knowledgeable service to clients over the phone and electronic communications, with potential flexible work arrangements.

This is a full-time, shift-oriented role with potential options to work from home and/or at the contact centre. Candidates must reside within a one-hour commute of the listed locations.

Business Hours:

• Sunday 6:00 pm EST to Friday 8:00 pm EST (overnights included)
• Saturday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST

Candidate flexibility to work various shifts within these hours is required.

What Will You Do? 🤝

• Proactively identify customer needs through effective communication and probing skills, guiding clients to suitable products and services offered by RBC Direct Investing.
• Maintain performance metrics in all client interactions, whether verbal or written.
• Uphold a professional image of RBC and RBC Direct Investing Inc. at all times.
• Promote the capabilities of the RBC Direct Investing website and mobile app, encouraging self-service options for clients.
• Deliver helpful, knowledgeable, accurate, and professional services, including prompt trade execution via phone or electronic means, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Understand and adhere to industry rules, regulations (e.g., CIRO, provincial), and RBC policies and procedures.
• Accurately execute client instructions within defined authorities, ensuring clients meet trade settlement obligations.

What Do You Need to Succeed? 🚀

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently with proven time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; capable of multitasking.
• University or College degree/diploma OR a minimum of 1 year in a client service role focused on business.
• Excellent English communication skills — verbal, written, and transcription — with strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional customer service and friendly, professional telephone demeanor.
• Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
• Completion of the following exams within specified timeframes:
  • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (within 15 weeks)
  • OR Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 or higher (maintenance required)
  • CIRO Mandatory Conduct Training (within 15 days of licensing approval)
  • Derivatives Exam (within 35 weeks)

Nice-to-Have Skills & Qualifications:

• Pre-existing standing or maintenance of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) or CFA Level 1 and Derivatives Exam.
• Fluency in French.
