Role Responsibilities

As a Simultaneous Interpreting Specialist, you will:

• Provide high-quality simultaneous and/or consecutive translations
• Ensure the target text accurately reflects the source meaning
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy while preserving key terminology
• Spot inconsistencies and cultural references that may need adjustment
• Ensure good audio quality, especially in Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) settings

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Educational Background: Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, Interpreting, or equivalent experience
• Language Skills: Native speaker of Russian or English, with excellent comprehension and writing skills in English
• Cultural & Linguistic Competence: Deep understanding of both source and target languages and cultures
• Adaptability: Ability to work in fast-paced environments with changing project priorities
• Professionalism: Ability to deliver under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Technical Skills: Experience with simultaneous & consecutive interpreting, and interpretation systems like Bidule
• Additional Plus: Experience translating technical courses
• Personal Traits: Problem-solving mindset, decision-making skills, and flexibility
