Role Overview

We are seeking skilled Simultaneous Interpreters from English into Japanese to become part of our expanding teams. The chosen linguist will deliver both simultaneous and/or consecutive translations, with a focus on:

• Ensuring target text accurately reflects the source meaning
• Maintaining high grammatical standards while preserving key terminology
• Spotting inconsistencies and cultural inaccuracies
• Providing high-quality audio in RSI scenarios

Requirements

Main Qualifications

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, Interpreting, or equivalent experience
• Native speaker of Japanese or English (depending on the language involved)
• Excellent command of English, both in comprehension and writing
• Strong linguistic and cultural competence in both source and target languages
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment with shifting project priorities
• Professionalism under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience with simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services
• Familiarity with interpretation systems such as Bidule
• Experience translating technical courses is a plus
