Role Overview

Our linguists are crucial in providing accurate and culturally appropriate simultaneous and/or consecutive interpretations. The key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the target text faithfully reflects the source message
• Maintaining high grammatical accuracy while preserving key terminology
• Spotting inconsistencies and culturally inappropriate references
• Ensuring audio quality during Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI)

What We're Looking For: Main Requirements

• Educational Background: Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, Interpreting, or equivalent experience
• Language Skills: Native speaker in Japanese or English, with excellent command of the other language
• Proficiency: Strong comprehension and writing skills in English
• Cultural & Linguistic Competence: Deep understanding of both source and target cultures and languages
• Adaptability: Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments with shifting project priorities
• professionalism: Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Problem Solving & Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to handle dynamic interpreting scenarios
• Experience: Proven track record in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Interpretation systems such as Bidule
• Bonus: Experience translating technical courses is a plus
