Responsibilities

• Interpret and translate: Accurately convey conversations and written documents, maintaining original tone and intent.
• Build relationships: Establish and maintain strong connections with parents, students, and school staff.
• Time management: Effectively organize and complete assignments within deadlines.
• Client communication: Connect virtually, over the phone, and in person, ensuring prompt communication and attendance at meetings.
• Professional development: Continuously enhance language and interpretation skills through ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Punjabi (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Proven experience in interpretation and translation between English and Punjabi
• Ability to travel to school sites in Suffolk County and Nassau County, NY
• Reliable remote work setup with strong Wi-Fi and necessary equipment
• Availability to accept assignments Monday through Friday
