Role Overview

This on-site and remote position involves supporting students, teachers, and parents during peak times, special projects, or coverage for absences across school settings in the Spring Valleyschool districts. Flexibility is key—interpreters should be able to travel to various school sites. This role offers you a unique chance to utilize your language skills, make a positive impact, and adapt your work around your availability. 🚸

Responsibilities

• Interpret and translate conversations and written documentation accurately, maintaining original tone and intent.
• Build and nurture relationships with clients, including students, parents, and school staff.
• Manage time effectively to complete assignments within designated timeframes.
• Communicate proactively with clients virtually, via phone, or in person, ensuring timely updates and attendance at meetings.
• Continuously develop educational vocabulary and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fluent in both English and French, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Experience in interpreting and translation in multilingual settings.
• Willingness and ability to travel onsite within Spring Valley School Districts, NY.
• Ability to work remotely with reliable Wi-Fi and required equipment.
• Availability to accept assignments Monday through Friday.
