Position Overview

We are seeking dependable and experienced on-call interpreters fluent in English and Urdu. This role offers flexibility to work around your schedule, providing critical language support during peak times, special projects, or to cover absences. The position is primarily on-site in school settings across Spring Valley school districts, with remote options available.

Travel to school sites is required. Interpreters will assist students, teachers, and parents to facilitate effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret and translate conversations and written documents, conveying tone and intent.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including parents, students, and staff.
• Manage your time and assignments effectively to meet deadlines.
• Communicate promptly with clients via in-person meetings, phone calls, and virtual platforms.
• Continuously develop your educational vocabulary and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Urdu (reading, writing, speaking).
• Previous experience in interpreting and translating.
• Ability to travel to school sites within Spring Valley School Districts, NY.
• Reliable remote work setup with strong Wi-Fi and necessary equipment.
• Availability Monday through Friday for assignments.
