Role Overview

As a dependable on-call interpreter fluent in both English and Urdu, you will provide vital language support during peak times, special projects, or to cover absences. This role is on-site and remote within school settings throughout the Spring Valley school districts. You'll assist students, teachers, and parents, making a real difference in their educational experiences. 🚸

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret and translate conversations and written documents, conveying tone and intent.
• Build and nurture relationships with clients, including parents, students, and school staff.
• Manage your schedule efficiently to complete assignments on time.
• Connect virtually, over the phone, and in person while maintaining clear, timely communication.
• Enhance your skills by participating in ongoing educational vocabulary development and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Urdu: speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Experience in interpreting and translating in both languages.
• Ability to travel to school sites throughout Spring Valley District, NY.
• Reliable remote work setup with strong Wi-Fi and necessary equipment.
• Availability to accept assignments Monday through Friday.
