About the Role

You will provide vital language support during busy times, special projects, or to cover absences. This on-site and remote position operates within school settings across Long Island school districts, requiring travel to various school sites. You'll assist students, teachers, and parents, fostering clear communication and understanding. 🌟

Responsibilities

• 🔄 Accurately interpret and translate conversations and written documentation, preserving tone and intent.
• 🤝 Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including parents, students, and school staff.
• ⏰ Manage time, assignments, and calendars effectively to meet deadlines.
• 📞 Connect with clients virtually, over the phone, and in person; ensure timely communication and attend meetings punctually.
• 📚 Continuously develop educational vocabulary and participate in professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 🔤 Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Cantonese.
• 📝 Proven experience interpreting and translating between English and Cantonese.
• 🚗 Ability to travel to school sites in Suffolk County and Nassau County, NY.
• 💻 Capable of working remotely with reliable Wi-Fi and the necessary equipment.
• 🗓️ Availability to accept assignments Monday through Friday.
