Role Description

Contract On-Site Interpreter (Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Mandarin) – New York City Metro Area

This is an exciting contract role requiring on-site presence for a skilled interpreter fluent in Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, or Mandarin. Your main responsibility will be to facilitate clear and professional communication between clients and service providers by accurately interpreting spoken language in real time. Your daily duties will include:

• Interpreting conversations across various industries
• Attending scheduled appointments
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
• Adhering to industry standards of conduct

Qualifications

• Fluency in Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, or Mandarin, with proficiency in English
• Experience in verbal interpretation and translation across languages
• Cultural awareness and ability to navigate cross-cultural communication
• Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Neutrality and unbiased interpretation skills
• Flexibility to travel within the New York City Metropolitan Area
• Preferred experience in legal, medical, or government-related interpretation
• Certification or training in interpretation and translation (a plus)
