Position Details
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 1st Shift (8am - 5pm)
- Hourly Rate: $19/hr
Job Overview
Responsible for generating revenue by promoting sales of new and existing products, providing exceptional customer service, evaluating customer needs, and addressing questions regarding parts, pricing, and services.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide relevant information on warranties, pricing, quality of parts, delivery times, and payment options.
- Complete internal documents supporting transactions such as credits, invoices, work orders, interchange, and returns.
- Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers to cultivate new business opportunities.
- Inform customers about unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed.
- Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when requested parts are unavailable.
- Process orders, perform order entry, review for accuracy in handling, pricing, quantities, and shipping data (may include dispatching orders).
- Follow up with customers as needed to ensure satisfaction.
- Assume other duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Note: This role does not involve supervising employees.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- College coursework or degree
- Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to perform basic math operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, in all units of measure.
- Capability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs.
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective oral communication; ability to write brief messages and keep simple records.
- Problem-solving skills for routine, repetitive issues by following clear instructions.
- Decision-making primarily affects one's own role or assigned area.
- Ability to set personal goals and determine strategies to achieve results with minimal supervision.
- Prioritization of tasks and handling them appropriately.
- No additional specific competencies required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- The role is primarily sedentary; must be comfortable sitting for extended periods and using computers, keyboards, and mice regularly.
- Periodic travel may be required, including overnight stays depending on the position.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
