About the Team 🤝

The SME & Growth team is the engine propelling Airwallex’s scaling success. We convert inbound demand into revenue by executing strategic sales processes, closing deals, and transforming SMEs into loyal customers. By understanding their financial and payment needs, we connect them with infrastructure that enables global competition.

This vital team fuels company growth by turning curiosity into conversion and developing scalable systems that generate measurable impact.

What You'll Do 🔍

As an Inbound Sales Representative within our SME & Growth team, you'll be a high performer specialized in identifying genuine opportunities, managing a disciplined sales process, and closing deals.

  • Own the complete inbound sales cycle—from qualification and discovery to proposal, negotiation, and closure.
  • Engage primarily with businesses with 20+ employees, operating across multiple markets with complex payment flows, multi-currency needs, and larger volumes.
  • Utilize your payments or fintech sales experience to spot opportunities quickly, operate with urgency, and convert inbound demand into revenue.

Responsibilities ✅

  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets through closing qualified inbound opportunities.
  • Manage all sales stages including discovery, proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • Identify actionable commercial opportunities within inbound demand and drive deals forward swiftly.
  • Present Airwallex’s payment, FX, and financial solutions clearly and convincingly.
  • Conduct multi-stakeholder conversations with founders, finance leads, and product teams.
  • Confidently handle pricing discussions and manage objections professionally.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline with accurate forecasting in CRM tools.
  • Take ownership of challenges independently and push deals to successful closes.
  • Collaborate closely with Onboarding and Support teams for smooth handovers and activations.
  • Deepen your knowledge of international payments, FX, and cross-border flows to enhance your consultative selling skills.

Who You Are 🌟

  • Fluent in Mandarin: Must communicate effectively in Mandarin for business purposes.
  • Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated success in full-cycle sales with consistent quota achievement.
  • Self-Starter: Autonomous learner with an entrepreneurial mindset, quick to grasp new products and concepts.
  • Experienced with Large Businesses: Skilled in managing multi-stakeholder sales in complex environments.
  • Payment & Fintech Background: Preferably experienced in payment acceptance (PA) or related financial technology domains.
  • Disciplined & Commercially Minded: Operates with ownership and business awareness in fast-paced settings.
  • CRM Proficiency: Strong understanding of sales metrics and pipeline management.

Minimum Qualifications 📜

  • 2+ years of success in a closing sales role, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Experience in selling technology, payments, or financial services.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
