Franklin Educational Services specializes in offering personalized, one-on-one academic support and executive functioning coaching. We tailor our approaches for students with diverse learning styles, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, and anxiety. Our focus is on building strong relationships to help students develop confidence, independence, and lasting academic success.
Position Overview 🎯
We are seeking warm, reliable in-person Hebrew tutors to work one-on-one with children aged 3-11 in West Los Angeles. Sessions are scheduled flexibly based on family needs—after school, weekends, and occasional daytime sessions—allowing for meaningful, relationship-based work.
Ideal candidates: Native Hebrew speakers with experience working with children. Experience supporting neurodivergent learners is a plus, but not required.
Availability: Mondays between 4:30-6:00 PM and Thursdays at 4:15 or 5:00 PM. Future opportunities include summer camp roles.
What You'll Do 🚀
- Provide 1:1 tutoring focused on early literacy, including phonemic awareness, decoding, and comprehension.
- Support early math skills and develop number sense.
- Assist with handwriting and fine-motor skills when needed.
- Teach study habits and foundational executive functioning skills (routine, attention, transitions).
- Enhance social communication and academic enrichment.
- Foster executive function and interest-based learning strategies.
- Support social-emotional growth by building confidence, managing frustration, and fostering flexibility.
- Maintain session notes and progress updates.
- Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and the Franklin team.

- Warm, patient, energetic, and skilled at building rapport with young children.
- Comfortable providing structure through clear expectations, routines, and visual supports.
- Dependable, organized, and excellent communicators.
- Able to travel locally for in-home sessions in the Mid City area.
Qualifications 🎓
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or current progress towards one with relevant experience.
- Reliable transportation for in-person sessions.
Preferred (Plus):
- Experience in special education settings (classroom, paraeducator, RSP, Ed Specialist).
- Background working with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, or behavior support.
- Credentials or certifications such as CA credential, RBT, BCaBA/BCBA, reading intervention training, OG-based training, etc.

We offer flexible scheduling based on family needs, including weekday afternoons, evenings, weekends, and occasional daytime sessions. Most placements are ongoing weekly commitments, emphasizing consistency.
