About Franklin Educational Services

At Franklin Educational Services, we provide personalized, one-on-one academic support and executive functioning coaching tailored for students with diverse learning styles, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, and anxiety. Our focus is on building strong relationships to help students develop confidence, independence, and achieve lasting academic success.

Position Overview

We are seeking warm, reliable in-person Hebrew tutors to work one-on-one with children aged 3–11 in West Los Angeles. Sessions will be scheduled based on family needs—including after school, weekends, and occasional daytime hours—offering flexible scheduling and meaningful, relationship-based work.

Ideal candidates: Native Hebrew speakers with experience working with children. Experience supporting neurodivergent learners is a plus but not required.

Note: Future candidates may also be considered for our 1:1 Summer Camp program.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide 1:1 tutoring for early learners in areas such as:
    • Tutoring/Teaching Hebrew to students
    • Pre-literacy and reading foundations (phonemic awareness, decoding, comprehension)
    • Early math skills and number sense
    • Handwriting and fine-motor support when needed
    • Study habits and early executive functioning skills (routine, attention, transitions)
    • Social communication & academic enrichment
  • Support social-emotional growth alongside academics: confidence, frustration tolerance, flexibility
  • Maintain brief session notes and progress updates
  • Communicate professionally with parents/guardians and the Franklin team

We Are Looking for Tutors Who Are...

  • Warm, patient, energetic, and excellent at building rapport with young children 😊
  • Comfortable providing structure through clear expectations, routines, visual supports, etc.
  • Dependable and organized with strong communication skills
  • Able to travel locally for in-home sessions in the Mid City area

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (or currently completing a degree with relevant experience)
  • Reliable transportation for in-person sessions

Preferred (Plus)

  • Experience in special education (classroom, paraeducator, RSP, Ed Specialist, etc.)
  • Experience supporting ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, or behavior issues
  • Credentials or certifications such as CA credential, RBT, BCaBA/BCBA, reading intervention training, OG-based training, etc.

Schedule & Commitment

  • Flexible scheduling based on family needs, including weekday afternoons, evenings, weekends, and occasional daytime hours
  • Most placements involve ongoing weekly sessions for consistency
