Overview

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. This position requires compassion, patience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. You will support clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. Your experience and skills will be essential in providing personalized care tailored to each individual's needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support: to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Monitor and document: patients' vital signs and overall health status.
• Administer medications: as per care plans and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
• Prepare nutritious meals: and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment: by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Support clients with mobility aid: including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Engage clients in social activities: to promote mental stimulation and emotional health.
• Follow HIPAA regulations: to maintain client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals: to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

• Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly valued.
• Familiarity with patient observation techniques and patient monitoring practices.
• Background in home care or hospice care is beneficial.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia is a plus.
• Knowledge of meal preparation, cooking, and dietary restrictions for seniors or individuals requiring special diets.
• Ability to perform lifting as needed for client mobility assistance.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
