Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Clinical Social Workers I/II to join our Behavioral Health Division at El Nuevo San Juan Community Health Center. Our team operates across two floors, delivering individual therapy and outpatient psychiatric support to children and adults. As a Clinical Social Worker, you will utilize evidence-based practices to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health and emotional disorders. You will work with diverse populations to promote well-being and connect patients to vital resources, all while gaining clinical hours toward an LCSW under supervision.

This position is initially onsite, with potential for hybrid work (1-2 remote days) after 6 months for established patients benefiting from virtual therapy.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution 🎓
• NYS Licensed LMSW is required 📜
• Minimum of 2 years' experience providing psychotherapy 💆‍♂️💆‍♀️
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is mandatory 🗣️
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environment ⚡
• Strong skills in identifying high-risk psychosocial factors impacting health 🔍

Key Duties

• Conduct bio-psychosocial and clinical diagnostic assessments 📝
• Deliver individual therapy and counseling sessions 🗨️
• Stay current with clinical theories and practices to support patients’ recovery and adjustment 🔬
• Provide family counseling to enhance understanding and support 🤝
• Engage in crisis intervention and refer patients to community resources 🚑
• Collaborate with medical providers to develop and implement treatment plans 🏥
• Participate actively in clinical team meetings 🤝

Starting Compensation

🔸 Minimum: $72,000 per year
🔸 Maximum: $80,000 per year
