Job Description
As a Human Resources Specialist (Bilingual), you will support our daily HR operations by collaborating closely with HR Managers. Your key responsibilities include ensuring smooth onboarding, accurate data management, employee support, and compliance with HR policies—all in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
This role is perfect for organized, approachable, and detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about helping team members while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. 🤝
What You'll Do ✨
- Process and coordinate onboarding for new hires, rehires, and reinstatements
- Enter and maintain accurate data in payroll and HR systems (ADP, SmartRecruiters, ImageQuest)
- Create, run, and distribute reports related to HR operations and compliance
- Maintain HR files and ensure proper record retention
- Assist walk-in team members and applicants with HR inquiries
- Support New Hire Orientation, employee events, initiatives, and internal communications
- Answer and screen incoming calls, providing accurate info or routing appropriately
- Assist HR Managers and TMS Admin Managers with projects and admin tasks
- Coordinate processing, terminations, and employment status changes
- Adapt to shifting departmental needs, including temporary coverage or priority adjustments
- Attend trainings, staff meetings, and departmental initiatives
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
Required Skills & Attributes
- Strong verbal and written communication in English and Spanish (Creole a plus)
- Empathy, active listening, and effective problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Comfort handling multiple interruptions in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor, engaging effectively across all leadership levels
- Proficiency with multi-line phones, office equipment, and HR systems
- Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information appropriately
Experience & Technical Skills
- 1–2 years of HR experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with ADP, SmartRecruiter, ImageQuest required; Canva and Adobe a plus
- Fully bilingual in Spanish; Creole is a plus
