About the Role

As an HR Generalist for Georgetown Events, you will serve as the operational backbone of our people function across our concepts — including Jetties, Surfside, The Bullpen, and Millie's. You will be instrumental in building scalable systems and acting as a trusted HR partner for our field employees. Reporting directly to the Director of HR, this hands-on role balances structure with a personal touch, supporting employee lifecycle needs from onboarding to complex employee relations.

Salary Range 💰

$65,000 - $72,000 annually

What You’ll Do

  • Employee Life Cycle Management – Manage onboarding, benefits enrollment, status changes, and offboarding in Paycom, ensuring data accuracy and consistent workflows across all locations.
  • People Operations & Systems – Develop and maintain scalable HR infrastructure, including policies, SOPs, and compliance systems.
  • Field Employee Support – Offer bilingual HR support to our field teams, confidently guiding employees through HR processes in their preferred language.
  • Employee Relations – Act as a neutral resource for both Spanish and English-speaking employees, handling HR concerns and conducting workplace investigations as needed.
  • Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, maintain up-to-date employee handbooks, and conduct audits.
  • Reporting & Metrics – Prepare HR reports on compliance, benefits, headcount, and turnover to inform leadership decisions.

  • Are fully fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal)
  • Enjoy data entry and building workflows in Paycom as much as guiding employees through HR processes or conversations
  • Have hands-on experience with HRIS systems, especially Paycom, to drive consistency and efficiency
  • Possess a strong understanding of employment law and compliance, knowing when to escalate concerns
  • Have earned and maintained the trust of a field or hourly workforce
  • Are comfortable building processes from scratch in an evolving organization
  • Adapt well to shifting priorities and view change as an opportunity

Qualifications 📋

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) – required
  • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience, including managing employee lifecycle and compliance
  • Practical HRIS experience, with Paycom experience considered a plus
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Experience developing or enhancing HR policies, SOPs, or compliance programs – restaurant or retail experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and similar tools
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel between locations as needed
