Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining a steady pipeline of qualified caregivers (CNAs/PCAs) and field nurses to meet Avodah’s growth and coverage goals. This role manages daily recruiting operations—from engaging job postings and swift phone screens to compliance documentation and providing ready-to-schedule staff files—ensuring Scheduling always has dependable staff for client care needs.
Key Responsibilities
🔍 Talent Sourcing & Outreach
- Publish and refresh high-response job posts on platforms like Indeed, ZipRecruiter, state job boards, social media, school CNA programs, veteran groups, and churches.
- Manage the caregiver referral program; track payouts and results.
- Organize career days, virtual info sessions, and local job fairs to build a strong talent pool.
📝 Pipeline Management & Screening
- Respond rapidly to candidates, pre-screen via phone/text, and schedule interviews within SLA standards.
- Conduct structured phone screens assessing reliability, skills, shift flexibility, and availability for weekends or overnight shifts.
- Verify candidate minimums such as age, work eligibility, background checks, TB/PPD, CPR (if required), valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and experience with dementia/ADLs/transfer safety.
🎯 Interviews, Offers & Onboarding Handoff
- Schedule virtual or in-person interviews and facilitate same-day job offers when appropriate.
- Collect necessary documents including I-9 support, IDs, certifications, background check results, TB/PPD, CPR, and references.
- Launch onboarding processes using Paylocity and assign mandatory trainings like Care Academy.
- Prepare and transfer ready-to-schedule files to Scheduling with candidate skills and availability profiles.
📁 Compliance & Records
- Maintain accurate digital personnel files, ensuring compliance with policies and payer requirements (HCBS, CLTC/DDSN, VA, LTC, Humana/Helper Bees).
- Track expiration dates for licenses and certifications; send timely renewal reminders.
- Uphold HIPAA standards and maintain confidentiality at all times.
🤝 Collaboration & Workforce Readiness
- Meet weekly with Scheduling to align the candidate pipeline with current shift needs and forecast coverage gaps.
- Partner with Quality/Training teams to upskill staff in areas like transfers, gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and dementia care.
- Provide weekly recruiting metrics and updates to the Administrator.

Qualifications ✅
- 1–3+ years in recruiting or scheduling, preferably in home care or healthcare settings.
- Strong phone presence, quick follow-up skills, and high ownership mentality.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean background.
- Comfortable screening for gait belt and Hoyer lift skills (training provided).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and metrics-driven; capable of managing multiple candidates simultaneously.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
