🔍 Job Description
The HR Administrative Assistant (Warehouse Operations) plays a pivotal role in providing on-site HR support across various functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, training, and administrative duties. Acting as a trusted partner to warehouse leadership, this role ensures smooth HR operations, promotes a culture aligned with our core values, and contributes to a positive employee experience.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and schedule in-person interviews.
- Coordinate interview logistics with hiring managers and extend job offers.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and initial HRIS documentation.
- Maintain a talent pipeline to support ongoing hiring needs.
HR Administration & Support
- Assist with open enrollment and benefits education sessions.
- Support employees with benefits-related questions and coordinate with the HR team.
- Submit Workers' Compensation claims.
- Track attendance, leaves, and performance documentation in compliance with policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee information.
- Plan and coordinate site events such as team-building, wellness programs, and celebrations.
- Direct employee accommodation requests to HR BP and/or HR Director.
Employee Relations & HR Partnership
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Support investigations and resolution of workplace conflicts or performance issues.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and compliant work environment.
Office & Facility HR Support
- Greet visitors, vendors, and new hires as a key HR and facility contact.
- Support the General Manager and HR team with administrative duties, reporting, and event planning.
- Maintain the front office organization, supplies, and communication boards.
- Assist with special projects related to audits, compliance, or HR process improvements.
📝 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- 2–4 years of HR experience, including recruitment, benefits, onboarding, and employee relations
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, confidentiality, and compliance practices
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments (preferred)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and HR systems (e.g., Paylocity, Workday, Paycom)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs and navigate a warehouse environment as needed
