About the Role
The Director of Human Resources is a vital leadership position responsible for designing and executing HR initiatives that support our organization’s goals. You will oversee policies, employee benefits, compliance, and internal communications, employing a data-driven approach and strong leadership skills to foster an engaging and compliant workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- 🤝 Lead and support a small HR team in executing initiatives related to human resources, payroll, and benefits.
- 🔍 Oversee recruitment efforts through internal strategies and external partnerships.
- ✅ Ensure HR practices are compliant with current employment laws and regulations.
- 🎉 Promote employee engagement via culture-building activities and events.
- 📚 Support training and development opportunities for staff.
- 🔄 Regularly evaluate and update HR policies, procedures, and practices.
- 🔒 Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of employee data and HRIS systems.
- 📋 Manage employee benefits, including vendor management, plan design, compliance, and communication.
- 📝 Draft and disseminate internal HR communications, policy updates, and guidance materials.
- 🎙️ Deliver HR presentations and facilitate training sessions as required.
- 🔄 Drive change management efforts by effectively communicating and supporting transitions.
- 🛡️ Conduct internal audits to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
- 🤝 Serve as a resource for managers and employees, offering guidance on performance, policies, and workplace concerns.
- 💼 Collaborate with leadership to review and manage compensation programs.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles and practices in both office and production environments.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of HR experience, or SHRM certification with 7–10 years of experience.
- 💬 Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on motivation and culture.
- Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Excellent organizational, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
